Korean BBQ Pork Rib Galbi

Korean BBQ Pork Rib Galbi

This recipe requires some prep time but it’s easy to make, and it’s very flavorful! The recipe below is good for about 3 servings, and it’s best when you accompany the ribs with some rice, salad, and any side dishes you might have in your fridge! Enjoy!

  • 2-2.5 Lbs of Pork spareribs
  • 1/4 Cup Soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Gochugaru (ground red pepper)
  • 2 Tbsp Maesil Syrup
  • 2 Tbsp Mirin
  • 2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1.5 Tbsp Sugar
  • 4-5 Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/2 White onion (minced)
  • 4 Slices of ginger

    1. Add ginger slices to a large pot of boiling water
    2. Add pork spareribs into pot and boil on medium heat for 40 minutes
    3. Discard ginger slices and rinse spareribs in cool water
    4. Mix all remaining ingredients together for the marinade and pour over spareribs in a container
    5. Marinade for 2 hours (or overnight) in the refrigerator – halfway through, flip the spareribs to marinate the other side
    6. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
    7. Bake the spare ribs for 25 minutes.  Halfway through the baking, flip the spareribs to other side while basting with marinade

Plate it and eat it with a side of salad, and rice!
